Overview

The Tsum Valley is virtually unexplored by outsiders as it was only opened to trekkers in 2008. It, like the Nubri Valley, is a “Beyul”, a sacred Valley that was blessed and designated as a place of refuge by Guru Rinpoche. The Valley also lies within the Kyimlung Valley, meaning the “Valley of Happiness” The Valley lies to the west of the main Manaslu Circuit and borders Tibet.
